The FlashZilla is a very popular device that allows you to receive engine tunes via e-mail and upload them to your vehicle.
Do I need FlashZilla?
When we manufacture your harness, we use our tools to re-program your ECU; because of this, you should not need to purchase a FlashZilla.
However, if you plan on upgrading your software in the future, you should consider purchasing one.
Scenario One
You purchase a ALH harness with Stage 1, we used our bench tools to program your ECU. At a later date, you purchased nozzles and turbo and want to upgrade to Stage 5.
You purchase a FlashZilla.
$100 retune fee to encode your software to your FlashZilla.
Pay the difference in tunes.
Future updates are just the update difference, with no tune fee.
Scenario One Total Cost: $250 + $100 + ($350-$250) = $450
Scenario Two
You purchase a ALH harness with Stage 1, and purchase a FlashZilla at the same time. We used our bench tools to program your ECU and pair it with the FlashZilla. At a later date, you purchased nozzles and turbo and want to upgrade to Stage 5.
You purchase a FlashZilla (at the time of the harness build).
Pay the difference in tunes from us.
You use your tune credits at FlashZilla
Future updates are just the update difference, with no tune fee.
Scenario Two Total Cost: $250 + $100 + ($350-$250) = $450
Scenario Two:
Once you have placed the Flashzilla order for the customer, you can head to your "Tune Credits" tab on the left side of your dealer dashboard, https://tunezilla.com/dealer/fast-forward-automotive/tune-credits
Input your PO, Customer name, and retail value.
the system will give you a breakdown of your cost and retail value, once you click purchase the system will generate a link for your to send to the customer for them to claim the tune credit.
with that link, the tune credit will link to the customer's TZ account allowing them to download their tunes from instatune up to the retail credit valuation.
